Introduction

Changes made to matchmaker server

Basics

• VM on ESXi install on itb-esx1.uchicago.edu.
• Running SL 5.3
• OSG matchmaker installed

Hostname Changed

Hostname of the server was changed from itb-matchmaker.uchicago.edu to gs-mm.uchicago.edu. This caused condor to fail since it had the old name embedded in config files. Fixed this by

• Changing itb-matchmaker.uchicago.edu to gs-mm.uchicago.edu in /home/osgmm/client-1.2/condor/etc/condor_config
• Renaming /home/osgmm/client-1.2/condor/local.osg-matchmaker to /home/osgmm/client-1.2/condor/local.gs-mm
• Changing LOCAL_CONFIG_FILE to /home/osgmm/client-1.2/condor/local.gs-mm/condor_config.local
• Changing itb-matchmaker.uchicago.edu to gs-mm.uchicago.edu in /home/osgmm/client-1.2/condor/local.gs-mm/condor_config.local

Users created

• Created train01-train40 for local user accounts, password given to Rob Gardner and Mats for accounts
• Added /home/osgmm/osgmm/bin to path in /etc/profile
• Sourced /home/osgmm/client-1.2/setup.sh in /etc/profile
